Which was whenI started saving my $3.99. I really enjoyed this series at the beginning. It was a fun little read. If I were paying $.99 I might consider continuing this ongoing plot challenged series. The story used to have a beginning, middle and ending with enough "what's going to happen next?" to keep me coming back. Not so much anymore.. Annoying and dull mysteries with a 'magical' twist The first cycle in this series is 12 books long and let me tell you, that's 7 books too many. Short (consider that a positive) and initially cute. Then annoying an increasingly choppy in the prose and storylines. I ended up hating half the characters, even Jill and the constant split between two worlds et's beyond annoying. The 'mysteries' are so simplistic, Nancy Drew would have yawned and gone about her day. Do yourself a favor, and read a better series. You want a w. Not Gendotte This edition just - annoyed me. The main theme seemed to be Jill's lying to cover her "secrets", when in reality she is covering her behind.The plot and the who dunnit were so obvious that for Jill to not instantly catch on strains credulity.Do a better job next time Adele or the next book will be my last.
