All questions are answered, but the evil remains. “At heart a murder mystery. After twenty-six novels, the Gears know how to leave themselves enough rope for another volume.” Kirkus Reviews on The Summoning God“Breathtaking descriptions evoke the harsh beauty of the desert, while the lucid, erudite historical perspectives are informed by the authors' own extensive archaeological experience.” Publishers Weekly on The Visitant
Murder and Archaeology The Gears have been writing pre-history novels for ages now. As archaeologists, they are full of information and plunge into texts to gain even more. Their characters are well-rounded. This series is especially interesting because it is murder mysteries. The books go back and forth between the present and the time of the Anasazi. There are long bibliographies at the end of each book. Warning: these books. Another wonderful tale by Gear I've never been disappointed by this author. Now to start the next book in the series. I hate for the story to end. The Gears have done it again Simply put I was disappointedwhen I finished the book that is! As always the Gears have kept me captive - I hated to see the book end and lament that I have about a year to wait for the next one!
