Exhaustive, well written This is an exhaustive account of the band. It covers the beginnings up to almost the current day. It does get a little plodding. The classic period up to Lemmy's departure is the first 200 pages. Everyone is interviewed, so there are various axes being ground. It covers every permutation of the band lat. Jeffrey said In Search of Space. I was very surprised to see a book on Hawkwind. They put out a slew of very good records in the 1970s and I quite liked them, even if they were obscure in the US. So I grabbed the book immediately. The book is huge and almost too exhaustive. It looks at the band through the eyes of almost every musician. "Don't trust a Hippie" according to Mr. T. C. Jones. Detailed and complete at the time of writing of the history of Hawkwind. Of course the saga continues with Nik and Dave still taking shots at each other.
