What kind of a parent would tell their kid that they don' t want them around anymore? Also, the wording is a bit clunky & too sophisticated for a children's book. However, the artwork it . "Clever!" according to Mark Afram. I was absolutely charmed by "The Runaway Mommy," and I found the storyline and pictures extremely clever. Even though I am not a parent, there were several occasions when I laughed aloud, especially when the mother threatens to become a business consultant. (The pictures for this segment were especially cute!)I HIGHLY recommend this book; it's sh. Great children's book Amazon Customer Well illustrated and written short story. Attempted to read it to my children (2 year old twins) but they are not yet able to understand the concept of Mommy running away to be a presidential candidate (smile).
