DESCRIPTION:
This is key, Walsch insists, because "beliefs create behaviors." Fond of numbered lists, Walsch gives us "Five Steps to Peace," which include our admitting that there is something we don't understand about "God and Life, the understanding of which could change everything." Walsch also offers Nine New Revelations, some of which don't seem all that new, including the idea that God has always communicated directly with people, or that God would never punish us with eternal damnation. The overarching argument is simple, indeed a bit tautological: humanity has reached a turning point. We do not, however, need to tinker with our economics or politics; rather, we need to retool our beliefs about those systems that govern society. As evidenced by September 11, something about our world isn't working. . The Steps to Peace and the New Revelations all point toward the peaceful, humane spirituality that Walsch wants read
We can either move forward, building together at last a new world of peace and harmony based on new beliefs about God and Life, or move backward, separately and continuously reconstructing the old world of conflict and discord. It provides the tools with which to pull ourselves out of despair, lifting the whole human race to a new level of experience, to a new understanding of life itself, to a new expression of its grandest vision. Neale Donald Walsch believes that the human race has reached a Time of Choosing. Our options are being placed before us by the tide of events -- and by those whoa re creating them. In The New Revelations, bestselling author Walsch offers possible and powerful answers to the questions facing the world, and urges us to open our hearts and minds to what may be one of the most important spiritual statements of our time.. This is a life-altering book. It contains New Revelations
The New Revelations Wow, I have been waiting for this information all of my life. I am with you all the way. So much resonated with me. I have already started with myself, thinking ahead of how I will respond to what comes to me. I feel great energy at times, like an energy field. I had an out of body experience as a child while awake during the day and it was incredible. I am doing the course with you on line at the moment and that brought me to reading this book and others. It confirms so much to me.I recommend everyone to read this book . Nancy Nagler said Continuing an amazing conversation. The New Revelations continue with the almost logical view of God continuing to thwart organized religions (to my delight). Another book, 'Callings', by Gregg Levov, mentions that the word 'religion' comes from a term meaning 'to reconnect', which seems to be what many of these New Age books seem to encourage. Walsch seems to bring out at least one stunning comment in each of his books, which will cause some to say 'He's a heretic or a fruitcake' and others to say 'Whoa, this needs some thought.' That is what life is all . Impressed so far A Customer As far as I've read, this is well written, well-paced, and encouragingly insightful. I have only finished 20 of 28 chapters, but have gone far enough to believe that the Booklist editorial writer has either never received a formal education, or uses terminology whose meanings he or she is unfamiliar with. Pantheism has two main definitions, one being that of nature/the universe as the sole representational entity of God, and the second essentially being belief in -all- Gods. Walsch is hardly a presence to begin with(An e
