Amusing but a bit flat D. Oswald This book was fine as a light summer/airplane read, but it didn't live up to my expectations. I guess with this sort of book I have the complex and convoluted writings of Carl Hiaasen in mind. This story while entertaining was a bit predictable and shallow.I enjoyed the mai. A Real Bovine Blockbuster Morning Edition Listener Fans of Michael Perry won't be disappointed by this book. It is filled with quirky characters and unexpected plot twists. Trouble was predicted right from the birth of the calf with the face of Jesus on his hide, and that prophecy was more than accurate. I thoroughly enjoye. Small town realities This was quite humorous and reminded me of some of the joys of small town America. While the the used oil in the water tower was a little over the top. The author kept the story interesting and did a realistic job when writing about the importance of friends.
