If that weren't bad enough, a Hollywood actress and activist has flown into Somalia to make a documentary, and, as far as Parson is concerned, she might as well paint targets on their backs. The mission becomes even more complicated when they encounter a wounded teenage al-Shabaab fighter, who might be seeking asylum--or a chance to kill. Not even Parson knows just how khatar his mission of mercy will become.. Military-fiction fans should have Young’s books on their TBR piles.” —Booklist. Military-thriller fans of Clancy and Coonts need to add Young to their must-read lists.” —Booklist (starred review) Praise for The Hunters “Young does a fine job balancing the perspectives of the hero and the young Somali caught in a battle for survival with the religious extremists. Reading Tom Young gives you the idea of what actual modern combat might be like, not what someone may imagine it to be. There are plenty of vividly described battle scenes and close calls.” —Library Journal “Stunning .Young writes very fine thrillers set in war-torn areas, and his background brings an authenticity to the proceedings t
The BEST Tom Young to date, and a return to Africa Robert Enzenauer Tom Young just gets better and better. Tom Young has become one of my three favorite authors ( along with Brad Thor and Brian Haig). In this latest novel, Parson and Gold return to Africa, with Parson "on leave" and serving as a volunteer at Sergeant Major Gold's encouragement to fly a relic DC-3 cargo plane on a humanitarian assistance mission. Young adds a fascinating new character, copilot Alain Chartier who usually flew airplanes with the French Armee de l'Air. Add to the mix a Hollywood actress and do-gooder activist who has flown into Somalia to film a documentary. Against his better. Buckle Up, Turbulence Ahead! D. Pellerin I really enjoyed this book, as I have all his other books. I could see this one as a feature film! The story is believable and timely, the action breath-taking and the characters fully developed, you really care what happens to them. I don't want to introduce any spoilers so I'll just say this book is a must read! I can't wait for the next one!. "DON'T MISS IT!" according to Georgia Thriller Writer.
