Couldn't put it down!!! Wonderful story written in great Dan Walsh tradition. He blows me away the way he develops his characters so quickly that they become real people, then friends then I am right there living the story with them. He took a true story (unbelievable, I know) and wound Laura and John throughout In a believable love-forever story. Dear Reader, allow yourself plenty of time to read this treasure.. Honeymooners taking a steamship from San Francisco to New York city and the subsequent perils from a hurricane. This book speaks of love found, friendship, perseverance, unselfishness, and strong faith. The time frame is mid-1800's and the book is historical fiction. The story line is actually patterned after a true experience which makes it even more interesting. I would definitely recommend this book to others.. amazing,what God can do. Barbara Owensa I couldn't put this book down,it was one of the most interesting books I've ever read.It kept my attention so much that the tv didn't even bother me. I loved the part about Micah and his dog and to see the compassion this family had for this slave and his dog. I was never bored with any part of this most interesting story. loved it
