"Many errors - disappointing" according to Dorbel Tweeter. Minasi's earlier editions were good (and hardcover - what happened to that?). This one was apparently rushed out without any proofreading just to keep up with the Joneses (Mueller). There are so many errors in the first two chapters, it's unbelievable Maybe the rest of the book actually got re-written and proofed, but the first part is very disappointing and makes me unlikely to grab this volume when I need an accurate answer.E.G.p.17 figure 1.5 shows connectors on back of PC, points to a Centronics Many errors - disappointing Minasi's earlier editions were good (and hardcover - what happened to that?). This book is marred by the fact that the author did a very uneven job of the revision and updating of previous editions. Most of the time the narrative is obviously dated. Other authors also to the 8th edition of their books revised the text to reflect the current states of computers. The important thing more than just an actual book is hands-on learning.The publishers can improve this book by using colors and bigger font letters.
