From the New York Times best-selling author of Star Wars: Lost Stars comes a thrilling novel set in the years before the events of Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

The Best of the Star Wars Canon So Far No spoilers:I’ll be honest, ever since Lucasfilm decided to set a “new precedent” for their Star Wars literature, relabeling the old as Legends and introducing the new as official canon, I haven’t been a huge fan of the books that have followed. Sure, some of them were okay, my favorites being A New Dawn, Aftermath, and Lost Stars. But I’ve waffled on which I liked more. While they were good, none of them really stood out as being my clear favorite. Well that is no longer the case.Bloodline is now, by far, my favorite Star Wars book in the canon, ranking as high as some of my absolute favorite books fr. Star Wars: The Political Thriller My first reaction when purchasing this book was from the cover. A silhouette of Vader in the background, a shadowy figure of Leia in the foreground & a title of "Bloodline". So this book was going to be about Leia's connection to her father? Without giving any spoilers, I will say the book does contain something to do with this, but the story is actually a much bigger political thrillerin a very good way. It takes me back to the "Clone Wars" TV series. Let's face it; when you have an empire, there's not much politics involved. But what the TV series & this novel have in common? No Emperor & more politics. You will finally see how t. E. William Nichols said No Lost Stars. I had pretty high expectations for this book after reading Claudia Grey's last Star Wars book Lost Stars (which was great). I have to say I was dissapointed. It was good but lacked. Idk it may be my imaginary but It was hard for me to picture what she was describing at times. She definitely took too much time describing outfits. However I would still recommend it. But if you expected it to set up a lot of the first order and resistance then you will be dissapointed too.
