Not sturdy enough N. Broughton Maybe my kids were too young for these books, but they stopped working shortly after getting them because the tab that attaches the animal to the book to make the noises detached. In fact, two of the tabs were broken even before using them for the first time and I had to send for replacements. They are great books and the kids loved them while they worked, they just need to figure out a way to make them more durable.. K. Oudman said Great Books- Kids love it!. Our boys love this book. We do have it in the Hard Cover. Our 1 year old really loves it, however he has torn a couple of the pop-ups. But now we have made it a "special book" that we only let him have when we are sitting with him. The sounds are great, illustrations are wonderful and the story is cute and catchy.. "Excellent!" according to tat2ng. My 2-yr old son LOVES these books. The artwork and presentation are great, and the sounds are great as well. My only criticism would be is that you have to be careful to avoid tearing the parts that "pop" out, but that is typical with any pop-up book.Definitely recommend for small children, though.
