My class started the Simon and Barklee in Germany book today and I have to tell you that they are on fire. The stories are terrific and children s activity books first-rate. I couldn t get them to stop reading and move on to other things.
Great book, fun and educational I looked a long time for a story to teach my daughter about Germany and finally found this one. It not only teaches German culture, but gives "New Words" on many pages (some English, some German) to help the reader understand. This book is probably not for most kids younger than 5 unless they have a very good attention span. There are a couple double page spreads with nothing but words. My almost 3 year old is focused, loves books, and is quit. Allie June Aleixo said Educational for Young Travelers. Not a big hit with my ten year old daughter. I thought it was really cute. The characters didn't seem to grab her, but I thought it was very educational and a great companion for our road trip in Germany.
