Wonderful This is a beautiful window on one of the most important and enjoyable poets of all time. I was a bit disappointed in Kneller's translation of Pasternak's poetry: not very smooth in many places; a little too prose-like. There are better translations of Pasternak available. But then I checked out his little book of Vosnesensky, and it is gorgeous. Then I checked the sample of Mandelstam, and it reads as well as any translafion of him. Very enjoyable.
