A worthy sequel There are probably too many separate threads at the beginning of the book. It jumps around too much as the author goes from character to character to let the reader know where each is at the beginning. For a few chapters, it feels like we are just counting faces, not much happens at first. But when the story gets going by the end, the reader is fully engaged. It is a little predictable in that the main characters somehow survive certain death. Hair does does not surprise like Martin in killing off major characters. But I enjoyed this book better than ninety percent of my recent reads..
