Captivating - but a bit too much artistic license for my taste I have visited the Waldensian Valleys a number of times, and have been especially interested in the history of Captain Gianavello. When I learned of this book, I ordered it immediately, and found it captivating reading.First, I applaud the excellent expose of the wrongs of the Inquisition, including the best explanations I h. Jeri C. Hastings said Huggins does it again.. I've got to admit that this is my favorite book of Huggins' to date. I wasn't sure anything would beat out my feelings of Wolf Story, but this one does.Huggins has an amazing knack for bringing you right into the story when you read his work and with the events of September 11 fresh in our minds, this is a book I would recom. Elizabeth Witt said excellent. I bought this book barely knowing the bare facts of the story. THis should be told and read. I think we tend to forget the price paid for our religious freedoms and need to be reminded often.
