Of course, nothing is as it seems and readers find themselves caught up in a mystery that is hard to put down. The author does a great job creating the ambiance of a pa. Good book I don't think I've ever read a book with as much deceit as this family faced. Your interest will certainly not be subdued.. "A Cleverly Crafted Mystery" according to Catherine. Without giving away too many plot details, I can say this is a cleverly crafted mystery. What a story. There is romance, intrigue, mystery, and history all wrapped up into this clever story. One could easily devour this book in two days racing to see how in ends. I immediately liked the Bancroft family and especially loved Jane, the sweet innocent heroine. I highly recommend it!
