Rayla 2212 Great Plot, complex interesting characters I really think that Ytasha Womack does an outstanding job with the book. The characters are complex and layered as is the plot and at times reminds me of a cross between fantasy and sci fi. I loved the unrequited love triangle between the three main characters and the twist at the end (which I wont reveal!) ties everything together. Im definitely getting the next book and hope that she continues the series for many books to come.. An Awesome Work ac

I think Ms. Womack does and outstanding job with the Rayla series form the short stories to this book I see Rayla in the same vain as Katniss, Beatrice "Triss" Prior, and Neo Check this book out when you have a chance.. Very good first jaunt into Afrofuturism Amazon Customer Very good first jaunt into Afrofuturism. I was advised to read this from my brother-in-law, and I'm glad I took it up. Fun, historical, serious and trippy. It was like reading a melding of black power Vulcan mind melding. The early parts with Michael Jackson actually made me go back to childhood. While it seemed a bit long, it in no way diminished the story. Seems black folk can't even get their own world without haters messing with it. Kudos to Ms. Womack!
