Four Stars good. The Beguiling Bassoon Bible I was shocked to see only a single, though wonderful, review of this crucial text. Weissenborn's etudes follow a logical approach to the various pitfalls of bassoon playing, helping the student conquer it's traps in a gradual manner that improves your cha. This one is great, but "Method for the Bassoon" is the best Weissenborn Others have written about the book's quality. It's a bit daunting for beginners, but someone has written a "My First Weissenborn" for bassoon newbies. I have "Practical Method" and have used it for years.
