Great book if you're on a desert island with no computer and want to learn Notes; also good for a Notes user who wants to gradually learn development or to occasionally learn in depth about a particular Notes feature. I have not yet read any of this book for Sys Admin. I also have no sys admin experience. Because of its excellent presentation of basic concepts, the first sys admin chapters of this book are what I am choosing to read as my first exposure to sys ad. The second half of the book begins with the setup of a new Notes installation. It includes a chapter on planning the site, installing a basic server, and analyzing the need for more than one server. This is the ideal book for the new Notes system administrator who will also create the workgroup's applications.
