Today's corporate computing environment is too often characterized by silos of data in enterprise applications like ERP, CRM, and supply chain management. This book, rather, combines the approach of a forward-looking analyst with the perspective of an executive who must make things work, without skimping on the relevant technical details. Amazon Customer said excellent review of SAP PCA's. I brought this book immediately after reading 'Netweaver for dummies' co-authored by Dan woods. He is futuristic and gives the future trends in SAP industry. Would be very useful for someone who is already experienced in SAP but would like to expand their expertise in Netweaver. Good for project leaders and managers.. A Customer said Outstanding overview of the next wave in enterprise IT!. I looked around for public information on these new applications (Packaged Composite Applications) that SAP and others are now introducing. SAP calls them xApps, and there are others out there too. There isn't much available yet, but luckily Dan Woods has this well written volume available.Woods' book is an in-depth study of the latest enterprise application technology. The platforms may vary from company to company, but the key concepts are applicable. In today's economic environment, companies are looking for ways to. A reader said Unconvincing. This book purports that the so-called "Packaged Composite Application" (PCA) is the only future for enterprise computing. However, despite the book's best attempt, it failed to make a convincing argument for this. The biggest problem with the book is that it failed to acknowledge the daunting technological challenges facing the creation and proliferation of "Composite Application" (CA). This book resorts to saying somehow an "Enterprise Service Architecture" platform will magically address all technological difficulties, and everything will be all fine thereafter. But, does such a magic platform exist today? No. Wi
