Prequel to the Scorpius Syndrome series Cheryl Stout I purchased the ON THE HUNT anthology just for the SCORPIUS RISING story. I actually read the first book in the series MERCURY STRIKING before I found out about the prequel. I do wish I could have purchased it separately as a novella rather than as part of the anthology.You really should read this first before starting the series. It explains the start of the Scorpius pandemic and tells the story of Dr. Nora Medina, who has worked at a private pharmaceutical company for five years, trying to create an antibiotic f. I really enjoyed this collection of short stories I really enjoyed this collection of short stories. I actually bought the Audible version and have been listening to it for awhile. I'm already ramped up to read The Scorpius Syndrome series (which I own and have in my TBR pile), and I loved Dianne Duvall's Phantom Embrace; I need more of that series. I liked Ivy's On The Hunt pretty well; I would definitely check out the rest of the series when I have time. I will be honest and say I did not finish the last story - Stake Out. I'm not really into the PNR/Comedy thi. Five Stars barb love this series
