When the sisters go to the Canaan Valley to search for paintings mentioned in a document found in an old hotel once owned by their grandparents—paintings that might be Monets—Andrea immediately becomes involved in tracking down a murderer. The question is: Does the murder have something to do with the elusive paintings? There are many clues and many suspects, including hotel staff, valley residents, and the mysterious foreigners who come from the Eastern Seaboard for skiing. Awsome Amazon Customer This was the 1st book written by Helen Fanick that I have read and it was awsome! I love the fact that it is about WV and ploaces that I am familiar with and her writing holds my attention and makes me want to keep reading and not put it down til the end, but then like so many books I wish there was more to read so I anxiously await the next one in the series!. Micki said Moon Signs Positive. Senior sisters Kathleen and Andrea are a pure joy. As a senior myself, it's especially enjoyable to see older women depicted as vital, intelligent and productive. The West Virginia ladies take a winter vacation to a ski resort that at one time was owned by their grandparents. Their neice and only surviving relative now works there, and has found old paperwork indicating that there might be two lost Monet paintings somewhere at the inn. The same evening they check in, they discover the body of one of the inn's co-owners. The unpopular lady . Excellent beginning of a series! I bought this with a shrug, thinking I'd learn a little moon lore. It was this and more. This is an excellent story. Well paced, interesting characters (local and beyond) and the writing is very good. Really liked it. I'll look for #2
