Having said that, this book is not a sugar-coated "God loves everyone all the time regardless of anything" message. This is more of a, "God made the known universe and is obviously omniscient, omnipotent, and omnipres. "I like the book, but a little wordy." according to BHG. I haven't finished the book, but I will give my opinion because Amazon keeps reminding me to review it.I find that the book has a great deal of dept regarding an intimate fellowship with God, But as to the style of J.I.Parker, I find him far more wordy than he has to be.Could just be me, but I like to read books that cut to the chase, say what needs to be said.I feel that the book could have been reduced to 125 pages, and said what needed to be said. Glorious chapter on adoption! I know and agree that this book is a classic. So I should give it five stars, but I didn't. I think that many of my Christian friends would not have the patience to read it. It is reasonably readable, but has a rather strong intellectual bent. It also has a British style which doesn't flow so well for American readers, I think.
