"Keep it Simple, Keep it Whole" according to kristi helow. I learned about the authors from a documentary screening for "Forks Over Knives" coming out March 2011. This new area of medicine called - Lifestyle doctors, really got my attention. As a nurse, a simple look around tells me we are doing something basically wrong. Our diabetes, obesity, hypertension rates are through the roof. As Americans we always seem to be pointing our finger at someone else to blame for our conditionwhen in fact changing our daily drug use (by that I mean our daily food) . Quick Read - Broken down just enough The Real McCoy After seeing the movie Forks Over Knives I purchased this book to learn more. I appreciated the format which gives information with data to back it up and then at the end of each chapter the take home points. There are appendices in the back of the book to help implement your own plan. I read thru the book in a few hours and took notes on the areas I wanted to return to.
