It is about a man's journey to take his birthright and use it not only to free himself but his family as well. On his journey to freedom, Jacob is assisted by a white Christian family who proves that not all white people are racist. This was true even during slavery. She taught them to read. Mor. A very good historical read I like reading historical book like this one. I enjoyed the story it held my attention. This was a very good read.. Orange Lady said Good Book!. A most read for those that's into slave narratives.
