DESCRIPTION:
What she sees in the brooch could cause a war and could cause her to lose her heart to the man who has promised to claim her. An extraordinary debut novel, Leslie LaFoy's characters charm and enchant like no other.. With only the Dragon's Heart brooch and an untested ability to do magic, she finds herself thrown into the chaos of 1802 Ireland, and must trust the scowling privateer, Kiervan des Marceaux, to protect her, and fulfill the prophecy and her destiny as the Seer of the Find. Walking the green knoll of Carraig Cl'ona at midnight on the eve of Beorc, and chanting the ancient Celtic words as promised, Allana Chapman was not prepared for the travel through time brought about by a pledge to her dying aunt

As Alanna begins the ritual that will determine Ireland's future, little does she realize that the events of that night will shape her destiny -- whether it is alone or in Kiervan's arms.Ms. Unfortunately, not only is Alanna not too keen on playing a role as Seer of the Ancient Find, but she certainly doesn't know anything about any magical abilities she might possess! She wants only to return to her staid fiance who would never be anything less than a gentleman, and who certainly never caused her pulse to race like that barbaric sea captain who keeps insisting that sh
