DESCRIPTION:

"great!!" according to Amazon Customer. great!!. "Better than I expected" according to Mina. I'm an interior designer, always on the look out for new and innovative ideas. So I look to installation art and was looking for a whole book about pieces for inspiration. I wasn't sure about this book before buying it, but I thought why the hell not. First off, there are tons of examples of installation art in this with a lot of images from every angle including sketches and drawings. There is also the designer, the concept, the location, etc. as well as the story behind each piece. I'. "This book has made a beautiful coffee table book" according to Mariel O.. This book has made a beautiful coffee table book. There are some really great and unique pieces included. I would have liked to see more small-scale artists included, such as Anna Hepler, Ian McMahon, and Wade Kavanaugh and Stephen B. Nguyen. I hope they will be making another edition, I would absolutely purchase it!

The much anticipated follow-up volume to our bestselling 2011 title Installation Art, this is the most impressive collection of renowned avant-garde installation pieces to-date. This beautiful book completely changes how we look at our everyday surroundings and their possibilities.. Interior gallery and museum installations encourage poetic new ways of looking at enclosed space, while exterior projects on both large and small scales astound through their dramatic use of materials and reinvent the urban and rural built environment. Pink balloons are suspended in rows above the main thoroughfare of a major city, a prism of colored threads hung in the air makes an otherwise blasé staircase magical, thin rays of light hover in space, a hole in a gallery wall reveals an entire hidden realm composed of layered ice blocks, while neoclassical arched windows pour transparent crystallized ice flows out onto marble floors. Only top-tier projects are featured, including biennale pieces from many different countries
