DESCRIPTION:
"great book" according to Lostplanet. Great book eqally useful for ID fellows, residents doing ID rotations, primary care physicians and maybe some ultra smart medical students. Very comprehensive coverage of HIV treatments and travel medicine. Highly recommended.. NOT for ID specialists E. Troy I bought this book to try to help review for the ID boards. I brought it with me on an international trip with a list of review topics. The index didn't include the first topic on my list (bacillary angiomatosis), and had nothing on bacillary angiomatosis under bartonella. The index didn't have the second topic on my list (rocky mountain spotted fever), and had almost nothing on ricketsii in general. I tried a broad topic third, cryptococcal meningitis, which they did have 2 pages on, but the information provided was very basic, about the level you'd expect in . Infectious Disease Shelley D. Shults Excellent reference resource. Text is concise & comprehensive for clinical relevance with an extensive table of contents. I recommend this book as excellent quick library reference literature for nursing and dentistry as well as medicine. I also highly recommend the CEU classes that are given by Drs. File and Tan (University at Seas.) Best investment in CE that I've spent in a long time! Much thanks.
