An a. Both the victim and the heroine were not sympathetic. At. All. Honestly, and don't hate me, but I was more sympathetic to the bad guys! The victim made bad choices and, while she didn't deserve to die, she inflicted a lot of pain on those who cared for her, including the killer. And Maggie, well, she was self-righteous, judgmental, and never really took responsibility for neglecting her friend as she did. She should have done everything she could for her friend that she called a sister. One wonders why she has no other friends! She stomps through life throwing her money and her status around. Her cold reaction to the death of one of the characters made me dislike her more. It's a sad book when y. Great Murder Mystery Amanda I have read other K.A. Tucker novels and I think she is a fantastic writer. I kept seeing statuses on Facebook advertising a wonderful sale on her novel He Will Be My Ruin. I checked it out as I do all good sales (her novels are usually $7.99 and I scored it for $1.99) and I saw it was a murder mystery/thriller. I wasn't sure that I'd like her writing style as a thriller. I usually stick to the people committed to the genre but I finally decided to give it a try before the price went back up. I'm not one of those snobs that think all murder mysteries need a completely new plot, it must be very hard to come up with new twists and turn
