I am also looking forward to using this in my classes. There are some amazing applications that can be usedart projectsdreaming bighorses and knights. Fun, fun, fun!!! 4.5 stars. Funny Knight and his horse tell each other goodnight and go to sleep. Knight has a strange dream that tells him to go find some golden cookies. So he wakes up horse and they search for the golden cookies. They look everywhere, but can't seem to find the cookies. They are very tired and decide to go home without them. And on the table are the cookies. After each eating one they tell each other goodnight and go back to sleep.
BETSY LEWIN is the well-known illustrator of Duck for President; Giggle, Giggle, Quack; and the Caldecott Honor-winning Click, Clack, Moo: Cows That Type, all written by Doreen Cronin. She lives in New York City.
Lewin's artwork is sketch heavy and minimal with lots of negative space, which will help emerging readers focus. Returning to their castle, the exhausted Knight realizes that his cookies were on a table the whole time, and the two later set out for a new adventure. Like the rest of the books in the series, the large format serves as a perfect transition from picture books to easy readers. The two search their kingdom for the treats, but come up empty-handed.
