"Excellent source for understanding gluten free living." according to Amelia. I gave this book five stars because it not only offers some excellent recipes that taste great, but also explains what it means to live, "gluten free" by offering a wealth of information on health issues related to the consumption of gluten and a list of foods containing it.The recipes range from main dishes to desserts, but I must confess that baked goods have always been my weakness. When I decided to remove the gluten from my diet, I tried the gluten free flours in the stores and was always disappointed by the grainy and dry texture of what ever I made from them. Karen Russell offers an excellent recipe for making you. "gluten free never tasted so delicious" according to grace. When I eat the recipes from this book, I dont feel deprived and they really taste great. I didnt realize eating healthy could be so easy and taste so good. When I eat this way I feel more energized and less bloated. If you like chocolate the recipes are figure friendly and delicious. I especially love the chocolate mousse. This book has helped my digestive sysem tremendously.I think this book would be good for anyone wanting to live healthy ,loose weight, feel better and enjoy good tasting food. I especially like the chapters with recipes which are useful, practical and yummy, too!As a very busy special needs teacher (and grandmother of 15 grandchildren!), I especially appreciate the many recipes which are easy to make and also good tasting! I highly recommend this book for anyone with gluten sensitivity or digestive problems or also for anyone else who is trying to eat wisely!
