"Nice prose but not what I thought" according to Sharon G. While the verse is lovely, and this book does give me pause for thought, I do not see this as a children's book.Having said this, the authors words grasp many details of the decades in our livesI feel this book is more reflective and suitable for an older audience. I don't see children fully understanding the impact a good friendship has on their future. Rather, I think this is a lovely gift for that lifelong friend, an expression of gratitude for the love that is shared. The artwork is lovely, and very inspiring. This reminds me of my mother-in-law, who has lived next door to her best friend for 60 (yes, sixty) years. They raised their children together, loved and lost their husbands together, and do look forward to their friendship lasting forever. I really enjoyed this book. It has been an inspiration.. MAITIA said Inspirational, thoughtful and genuine Aida's messages!. Just received Aida's book! And of course read itCannot wait to read and share with the children in my lifesuch touching, deep yet very realistic, no-nonsense messages! Messages that help us "adults" discuss these very important life phases with younger minds but through THEIR young eyes. This writer is a very old soul! They are indeed all life lessons ones does learn, live or hear about, but to put it in a book with such vivid, colorful, inspirational images enriches the messages that much more!
