Furthermore, the book is written from a very conservative standpoint which takes away from the neutrality that a law student would expect from a textbook. This book inadvertently highlights many flaws and illogic. "More opinion than law." according to J.L.. The author of this book devotes too much time to her personal opinions, rather than the law. You are much better off with a Civil Code and a book like Contemporary Family Law.. Katie said Great Book. This book was well written and easy to read. The cases were well selected and the explanations were helpful. The comments also provided further explanation when needed.
