DESCRIPTION:
The best book I know on microeconomics Alan A. Fisher I just retired after a 40 year career as an economist. I studied under both Alchian and Allen at UCLA in the 1960s and then went to UC Berkeley for my Ph.D. During my 40 year career (as well as in graduate school), the economics I learned from Alchian, Allen, and my other UCLA professors gave me the foundation for a successful career. Anyone serious about microeconomics should read and re-read this book.. Inexorable Fundamentals, an Unforgettable Synthesis of Principles Mark Vande Pol This was my economics text at a junior college in the 1980s. Reading it was a life changing experience. It makes clear the power of the regulatory state to pick winners and losers in the marketplace, the effects of taxation upon production, and the hazards of socialized risk. It became the foundation of my work in replacing the fascist environmental juggernaut with a market founded in small business and f. The greatest text book in economic analysis. A Customer It is a sad commentary that the greatest text book in intorductory economics is now out of print. This book goes beyond the economics of carrots and parsinps. It has witty and stimulating discussions of property rights, contracts, trade markets, copy rights, etc. In sum, the market does not always recognize quality.
