Lots of good advice, but this should really be sold by state. This book is well written and informative, but the premise is the problem. There is no "American Tenant Law". Every state has vastly different laws in regards to renting. This book is more of a general advice rather than a guide to your rights. Most specific things will have you going online, which is probably where your search started anyway.If you've never rented before, as a tenant or landlord, this book will be quite helpful.
