DESCRIPTION:
A complete single-volume reference, the Handbook covers the essential chemical, physical, mechanical, and applications aspects of many of the most important thermoplastics, providing researchers with the data necessary to evaluate and compare existing product lines with new and emerging ones. Readers will also find a detailed approach for evaluating some of the most recent breakthroughs, such as: Chemistry of Polymerization Products and Designs Based on Viscoelasticity ProcessesExplore new applications and markets with this single-volume guide for engineering resinsABS Polycarbonates (PC) Modified Polyphenylene Ether (mPPE) Polyphen

Merna Moose said fair at best. This book might be fine for someone that's a novice on the subject, and is looking for nothing deeper than a beginner's introduction to the topic area. But if you're a hard core design engineer like myself, and you're looking to learn the in's and out's of serious plastic component design, you just won't find it in this book. Mine is the second review here on this book, so I got to find out the hard way.. Thomas Rosswaag said Plastics Handbook. Great book. I have been looking for a decent plastics book for a while, but they are hard to find. This book has a lot of useful information. Fast shipping too. Thanks!
Written by a top team of international experts, this book will focus only on new and emerging engineering resin property requirements, instead of properties of conventional engineering thermoplastics which are available from polymer producers and compounders. While technological information is readily available regarding the general properties of common thermoplastic material, there is no single authoritative source for building and evaluating new product lines. However, finding a material that can meet consumer demands is no small task. Product Developers have found a wide array of application for thermoplastics in the automotive interior and exterior parts, business machines, medical, telecommunications equipment, microwaveable packaging, appliances, and specialty uses. This book will incorporate important chemical, physical, mechanical and applications for engineering thermoplastic in one place, providing clear solutions to evaluate and compare existing product lines and with new and
