"AGATHA RAISIN DOES IT AGAIN" according to lawyeraau. I love the cozy mystery genre, and the Agatha Raisin series of cozy mysteries is one of my favorites. To be sure, this series is not what one would call great literature but, really, who cares? This series is vastly entertaining. Menopausal, man-hungry, smart, and funny, Agatha Raisin is simply a great character. Here, Agatha, who is sensitive about her lower class origins, is horrified to discover that Jill Davent, the ther. Serious Mystery or Comic Psychology? Having watched a Mrs. Raisin mystery on t.v., I thought a book might be in order and tried this one. I was not enthused, but it had it's comic moments. The book's Mrs. Raisin is a slightly manic character who tilts at every passing windmill with undisguised angry frustration, eventually hitting the right one, more by accident than anything else. In the meantime she manages to be rescued by a menagerie of male associates who. I was sure that was going to be all over for Agatha Sharon Hamilton I jave a picture in my mind of whatAgatha looks like and the description is always changing my mind. I think in this book she is becoming wise about herself and seems to want to set a new goal. I enjoyed the book as much as I did the previous ones but was a little confused at the end. When therapist Jill Davent moved to the village of Carsely, Agatha Raisin was not a fan. Jill also counsels a woman, Gwen Simple, that Agatha firmly believes assisted her son in some grisly murders, although there is no proof. But Agatha, along with her team of private detectives, is determined to prove her innocence and find the real culprit. Not one to keep her feelings to herself, Agatha tells anyone that would listen that Jill is a charlatan and better off dead. Agatha could only sigh with relief when the therapist took an office in Mircester. When Agatha learns that Jill had hired a private detective to investigate her background, she barges into Jill's office and gives her a piece of her mind, yelling "I could kill you!" So when Jill is found strangled to death in her office two days later, Agatha becomes the prime suspect. Not only was this therapist romancing Agatha's ex-husband but she dug up details of Agatha's not-too-glamorous origins
