DESCRIPTION:
An appendix explaining the use of complex random processes in the analysis of band-pass signals and systems. A disk of data for use with the computer assignments is packaged with the book.. Over 300 written problems and specially prepared "Computer Assignments" to enhance learning of the material and drive home important concepts. Specific additional features include the following: Motivating introductions and comprehensive summaries for each chapter. Consistent treatment of both real and complex cases throughout. This is a no-nonsense book that builds on the basics of digital signal processing and thoroughly prepares readers for advanced studies in adaptive filtering, speech processing, spectral analysis, array processing, and other application areas. Large numbers of examples to illustrate application of the theory. An introduction to methods of higher order moments is also provided. It begins with a treatment of random processes in discrete time and proceeds to develop such fundamental topics as Wiener filtering, linear prediction, ARMA models, and subspace methods with a depth that is rare even in books more specifically
. From the Publisher This introduction to random processes -- from a modern discrete-time point of view -- successfully carries the approach through to more advanced topics in modern statistical signal processing
"Excellent Book" according to Ikaro Silva. I used this book as part of a course I was taking (Statistical and Adaptive Signal Processing). Specifically, Chapter 7 and 8 , on Optimal Filtering and Linear Prediction were very useful and well explained.. Ellen Laubie said Fell apart. This book was falling apart when I got. I literally had to staple a couple of the pages back into the book.
