CREEPY CREATURES explores some of the reasons behind what animals do and how they look.In this fascinating book, readers will learn that no animal exists simply to frighten or repulse us, but rather to feed, house, and defend itself. CREEPY CREATURES is full of facts and humor about 20 creatures including the shark, tarantula, piranha, vulture, komodo dragon, and Tasmanian devil.

I used this book for a writing lesson with elementary students and they loved the book! We discussed introductory sentences that grab your attention and this was the ticket. They researched their own animal and gathered some facts to try and write an attention getting topic sentence with supporting details. They were attentive throughout the whole process.
