The author goes off on tangents that have nothing to do with Scripture. It is poorly researched and rather morbid. I am sorry. I stumbled across an advance copy of this book at the bookstore where I worked. I'm not really into birds, but I've always wanted to read Debbie Blue's work, so I picked it up. I read a chapter a day on my lunch breaks and was sucked into this book. Simply put, she explores the image of different birds found in the bible, traces the image of the birds throughout human history, and shares her own experience with the bird.
