The title can however be a little deceiving because not all of the hikes are "easy" but it is a good guide none the less.. "Provides Great Insight" according to J.A.S.. If you are interested in day hiking in Acadia National Park and need some insight, buy this book. It is current, detailed and provides many hiking options. It suggestions hikes for families with young children, as well as for hikers who have limited time but would like to view beautiful vistas. Also, its concise format (with easy to follow mapped routes) allows you to bring it alon. "Barely adequate" according to Pan's Oak. Get the book with all the trials, it's not much more. This one doesn't cover Schoodic Point or the carriage trails. We were at Acadia when the government shut down the National Parks (boy, would I like to review THEM), so we didn't get to do a lot of hiking.
