Skip this AP Lit book, use official materials instead. Sue Doenim I bought the Barron’s AP Literature book to prepare for the test, and mainly used it for the practice tests. I’ve already given my copy away, but I remember that the review section was a disappointment, as the content review and test-taking strategies were neither helpful nor in-depth enough for the harder multiple choice questions in the practice tests. I also felt that the practice tests did not match the difficulty or style of the test.If you’re an AP Lit test taker, you’re b. "Great" according to D. Weintraub. I took the AP last week and think that I did well. This book is not the greatest content wise, but I feel that the practice exams are unmatched and the sample essay prompts really helped me know what to expect and how to form a decent essay.. "Among the best available" according to B. Weinstein. I am a parent with a high school junior taking the AP English Lang classI do have a background in Rhetoric, just so you know where I'm coming from. This product is among the best. It has a "fair" amount of review material (some similar products have none) that can be used to supplement what is done in the classroom, and has an excellent selection of "test" material (literature from which the multiple choice questions come, and excellent essay sections as well).
