Emergency Dispatch This book offers examples of several types of questions with sample tests. It would better serve the reader to be a little less wordy and offer a few more testing examples.. Focus on trial tests Mrs. G I bought this book because I was due to take the police dispatcher testing. I actually took this test today, and the majority of it was being able to follow directions to detail. This book did help me as far as learing what types of questions to expect as well as teaching me to eliminate answers. The vocabulary part of this book was not mentioned in my test, nor were definations. Most questions were scenerio based. I feel I was better prepared because of this book, although the books tests give you approx. 3 hours to do, and the actual test I took was based on th. "Great Prep Book!" according to Jennifer Gottsacker. If you are looking for a book to help yourself prepare for a written exam for a dispatcher position, this is the book for you! I have taken a test before not being prepared and didn't pass. I bought this book and it has some great information about how to find jobs and tips for preparing for an interview to getting your resume ready. There is two complete sample tests in the book along with tips to help you get ready for your exam.
