Great look into the world of wood HobbyGuy This book shows a side of wood most of us take for granted, or never even knew existed. The way Spike Carlsen covers the history, science and industrial uses of wood is not so detailed and dry that its mind numming, but rather gives a broader view of things most will be be able to understand to appreciate the wide versat. This is really an informative, fun book. There's a tremendous number of interesting facts in this book. They were presented with so many fun examples and unique expressions that it was really hard to put the book down. I work in the lumber industry and after I finished reading it,I loaned my copy to my boss with glowing comments and recommended that we buy seve
