This doesn't change the powerful imagery that she evoked in my mind's eye as I read this collection. I especially enjoyed, "The New Year", "On the Gasconade in March" and "Burr Oak Tree". If you have ever enjoyed Missouri rivers and flood plains as I have these poems should bring up many pleasant memories.
